Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and development of complex mechanical and electromechanical systems for new product development programs.
  • Own major product subsystems from concept maturation through production release and lifecycle support.
  • Translate emerging technologies and product concepts into manufacturable, serviceable, and reliable product solutions.
  • Make independent technical recommendations and drive engineering decisions with minimal oversight.
  • Develop innovative mechanisms, assemblies, tooling, and integration solutions to meet performance, reliability, cost, and manufacturability objectives.
  • Collaborate across engineering disciplines to ensure successful system integration.
  • Lead technical investigations, risk assessments, design reviews, and root-cause problem solving efforts.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for assigned products and technologies.
  • Mentor engineers and promote engineering best practices across the organization.

Requirements
  • Bachelors in ME
  • 8+ years product development experience
  • Experience designing machined, sheet metal and molded plastic components
  • Expertise in mechatronic systems including actuators, motion control, servo and stepper motors and pneumatics
  • Strong understanding of design for manufacturability, reliability, serviceability and product lifecycle considerations

Preferred:
  • Experience leading significant product development programs.
  • Experience with industrial equipment, instrumentation, or durable products.
  • Experience with design for manufacturability (DFM), design for assembly (DFA), FMEA, and structured design reviews.
