Job Role and Responsibility: AMD, Inc. is hiring MTS Product Development Engineer to Develop and/or test electrical/electronic components and/or systems for semiconductor products. Design, develop, and/or manage activities for a specific product or group of products from product definition and planning through production, release and end of life. Serve as the central resource with design, process, manufacturing, test, quality, and marketing as the products move to production and distribution. Involvement lasts throughout all stages of a product’s lifestyle including modifications, upgrades and maintenance of the product or product line. Work on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. Exercise judgment within defined company procedures and practices to select methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Utilize knowledge of computers and electronics, including circuit boards, processors, chips, and electronic equipment, as well as knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles. Apply knowledge of engineering principles, best practices, and technologies to the design, development, and testing of various AMD products.

Qualifications: Degree required

Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

Qualifications: Amount and type of experience required: Three (3) years of experience in the job offered or a closely related engineering role.

Alternate combination of education and experience: Employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field and five (5) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a closely related engineering role.

Specific skills required: The following skills are required:

Position requires three (3) years of experience in the following:

• ASIC design;
• Design flows and methodologies used for chip verification;
• ASIC design tools (synthesis, simulation, equivalence checking, static timing analysis);
• Front-end EDA tools;
• TCL or Python;
• ATE tester; and
• JTAG or BIST.
