Job Description:

Position Summary:

Entegris is seeking ahighly motivated individual for a Product Development Engineer II role to design Gas Filter, Diffuser and Purifier products. The position reports into the Advanced Purity Solutions division within Entegris' Micro-contamination Control division. This segment develops technologies that support development of the most advanced semiconductor applications in the world.

This role will be responsible for supporting the development of Gas Filter, Diffuser andPoint-of-UsePurifier product designs by conceiving, designing, and developing new prototypesand coordinating with R&D Media Development Team and Operations. The Mechanical Engineer should also be familiar and comfortable with stage-gate approach for Technology Development and New Product Introduction as well as design, documentation, and layout product formats tosatisfy the requirements, and support improvement initiatives of existing and new products. Work with domestic and internationalcompany resourcesand vendors to move new concepts fromprototypeto production.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinateprojects related to technology development and new product introduction as it relates tocomponent prototypedevelopment for ultra-high purity gas filtration/diffuser/point-of-use purifier technology.

  • Conceptualize, design, and developprototypeswith specialemphasis uponhigh-purity processes and technology.

  • Characterize and test new products to ensure specified requirements are met.

  • Help design, build, and qualify various lab equipment, fixtures and tooling.

  • Provide documentation support such as creating/maintaining drawings, SOPs, test procedures, test data.

  • Performs wide variety oftestingand development tasksas needed

  • Assist in performing root cause analysis on quality issues on new and existing products.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives with manufacturingunit.

Qualifications and Preferred Skills:

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering. 1-3years of experience ispreferred

  • MS in Mechanical Engineering or related field a plus.

  • Ability to design, fabricate, and qualify tooling and equipment used in the manufacture and testing of products. Hands-on experience using various machine shop tools, processes, equipment, etc. would be a plus.

  • Knowledgeorexperience in engineering design practices, solid modeling (SolidWorkspreferred), and creating manufacturing drawings for use in producing prototype components.

  • Professional Engineer Certification, or ability to obtain one, a plus.

  • Experience with CFD/FEA a plus.

  • Familiarity with ASME Section VIII or similar pressure vessel codes is a plus

  • Ability to design and fabricate process/test equipment used for product testing/production.

  • Knowledge in semiconductor hardware and systemsa plus.

  • Experience driving engineering deliverables through structured stagegate processes, including requirements definition, concept evaluation, design freeze, prototype build,DFMEA/CFMEA,validation, and production readiness.

  • Being highly motivated, and able to work independently, as well as in a cross-functional team environment.
