Description
As a Specials Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to design special and custom solutions that our Design Team has conceptualized with our national network of dealers. At Enwork, we are very open to specials and customs and attribute this approach as one of the key attributes to our success.
What makes all of this possible is our "can do" team of Engineers! We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Engineer to round out this strong team.
The Enwork Difference
From humble beginnings in 2003, Enwork has grown significantly into an exciting mid-tier office furniture manufacturer with national brand recognition. We count many Fortune 100 companies as our customers, along with startups and everything in between.
At Enwork, we stay ahead of trends to anticipate how to best optimize spaces, and design with creative forethought into how things can adapt for the future. Our products are created using a variety of material choices that beautifully prove their long-term value.
Being part of Enwork means being part of a family owned, local success story that is never satisfied with the status quo, and strives each and every day to make the office furniture world a better place, for both our employees and customers.
A Typical Work Day
While every day is unique, there is a general narrative to your work
• Organizing the orders in your dashboard and working on them in priority of due date.
• Reviewing the design drawings and related background information on what the client's needs are to confirm a thorough understanding of the desired solution
• Modeling the design in Solidworks, saving out prints files for production in the specified formats, and completing the ERP BOM and Routing information
• Supporting other projects to make modifications to standard products ("Life Cycle")
• Daily team meetings for information sharing and team building
Requirements
As you can tell, this is a unique opportunity requiring a blend of technical design skills, communication skills, team skills and great attention to detail. Specifically,
• Expertise with Solidworks or Pro-E is a must
• Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and ERP systems
• Minimum 2-year CAD Associates degree, 4-year Engineering degree preferred
• Experience with office furniture strongly preferred
• A quick learner who thrives in a fast-paced environment
• Positive attitude, detail orientated, with strong self-organizational skills
