Job Description:
Product Design Manager
Location: Orlando, Florida (Hybrid)
Duration: 6-12 Month Contract to Hire
Role Overview
We are seeking a Product Design Manager to lead the design function across web, mobile, and internal platforms. This individual will own design decisions, build and manage a team of designers, and improve our current design systems. This role is a combination of people leadership and operational leadership, responsible for the health, quality, and output of the design practice.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of approximately seven product designers.
  • Own the operating system for Product Design, including intake, prioritization, portfolio visibility, and capacity planning.
  • Lead governance for the enterprise product design system and Figma libraries, with a goal of consolidating from three systems to one.
  • Ensure design systems are instrumented with code and have comprehensive documentation.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering leaders to connect design work to customer problems, product strategy, and measurable outcomes.
  • Lead design across complex user journeys, including servicing, booking, account management, and internal sales/support workflows.
  • Champion coherent end-to-end user experiences rather than isolated features.

Required Qualifications
Experience:
  • A minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in UX, Product Design, or a related digital product role.
  • At least 2 years of experience leading, managing, or formally mentoring designers in a product environment.
  • Proven experience designing and shipping web and mobile product experiences.

Technical Skills:
  • Fluency in Figma, including component libraries and design-system workflows.
  • Experience with Contentful or a comparable Content Management System (CMS).
  • Familiarity with AI tools such as Figma Make or Claude Design Kits.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in the hospitality or timeshare industries.
  • Experience modernizing fragmented design systems into a single, governed system.
  • Familiarity with product delivery systems like Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards such as WCAG and Section 508.
