SUMMARY OF POSITION
The Product Champion plays a key role within the marketing and sales engine at Howard Technology Solutions. The Product Champion operates as a brand ambassador and subject matter expert of a specific brand our company partners with, such as HP, Lenovo, Epson, Microsoft, and Adobe. This individual is the internal point of contact for all questions raised by Howard Technology sales representatives and managers and will work with them to identify and close vendor business opportunities. Approximately 60% of the time is spent growing brand revenue, maximizing margin, negotiating pricing, and evaluating new product opportunities. Approximately 40% of the time is spent formulating a marketing plan to promote and sell the brand to the Howard Technology sales teams.
Responsibilities
  • Work closely with Howard Technology sales teams across the United States
    • Operate as a brand ambassador and subject matter expert of assigned product lines to market and promote to Howard Technology sales teams
    • Work closely with vendors to grow the partnership
    • Operate as the internal point of contact for any questions regarding the brand
    • Understand the competitive differentiators for brand solutions
    • Become very proficient with utilizing partner programs, navigating partner portals, and aligning vendor representatives
    • Set, track and obtain sales goals
    • Work with distribution and vendors to obtain best material cost to grow margin in opportunities
    • Build relationships with Howard Technology sales representatives, vendors and distributors
    • Build business plan and communicate it to management
    • Lead training sessions with Howard Technology sales representatives
    • Attend vendor events to represent Howard Technology Solutions and the vendor to customers
    • Perform additional duties as assigned

Skills/Qualifications
  • SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Corporate level proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
