The Product Analyst Associate is an entry-level position with a prescribed training and education plan to learn the Product Analyst role and commercial lines insurance. Under the direction of management, and with the assistance of coworkers and an assigned mentor, this role assists with research, requirements, testing, and implementation for initiatives that affect corporate strategies and independently completes assigned education plan.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop a working knowledge of the Commercial Lines organization and the systems which they use.
  • Own and successfully complete assigned training and education plan. Learn how to utilize company and competitor information to be aware of current and developing company specific and industry issue trends.
  • Participate in the research and analysis of competitor products/guidelines, and report findings to co-workers and management.
  • Assist team member in the requirements and testing of procedural and system changed generated by need, policy change or new programs.
  • Attend business/IT meetings and discuss observations and learnings with managers, co-workers and assigned mentor.
  • Active participation in the mentor/mentee relationship. Begin to build relationships with business and technical partners and knowledge of business objectives which they support.

Key Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree in Business, Economics, Finance or related field.
  • Microsoft Office, including Intermediate to Advanced Excel.
  • Beginner to Intermediate SAS/SQL and PowerBi experience is preferred.
  • 1 year of work experience in the insurance industry or internships in analytics or insurance roles are preferred.
  • Ability to learn Arbella policy systems or new software as required
  • Ability to navigate and utilize vendor applications such as ISONet, SERFF, and various 3rd party data solution providers.
  • Effective communication, analytical and time management skills needed.
  • Strong aptitude for technology required and must be able to assist in the development of solutions to unique and difficult problems that can have a major impact on company results.
  • Participate in the research and analysis of competitor products/guidelines, and report findings to co-workers and management.
  • Assist team member in the requirements and testing of procedural and system changed generated by need, policy change or new programs.
  • Attend business/IT meetings and discuss observations and learnings with managers, co-workers and assigned mentor.
  • Active participation in the mentor/mentee relationship. Begin to build relationships with business and technical partners and knowledge of business objectives which they support.

Our current reasonable and good faith estimate of the annual salary wage range for this position is approximately $60,000 to $65,000 based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills and experience, educational background and certifications, performance and qualifications, market demand for the role and other organizational needs.
