Job Description

This role is responsible for developing and managing produce sales within the Tucson, Arizona territory, ensuring customer satisfaction while achieving sales and profitability goals. The Outside Sales Representative will build strong relationships with local restaurants, foodservice operators, and retail partners throughout Tucson and nearby areas such as Oro Valley, Marana, and Sahuarita.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and grow a customer base within the Tucson and Southern Arizona market
  • Stay informed on regional market trends, seasonal produce availability, and pricing strategies
  • Meet or exceed established sales and gross profit targets
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local customers, vendors, and internal teams
  • Present tailored, profitable produce programs to prospective and existing clients
  • Collaborate with buyers and operations teams to meet customer needs and preferences
  • Ensure timely and accurate order submission in accordance with company deadlines
  • Conduct regular warehouse visits to monitor product quality and availability
  • Support local promotions, new account openings, and customer onboarding
  • Complete required documentation (credit memos, reports, etc.) within established timelines
  • Participate in sales meetings and regional check-ins
  • Maintain high standards of food safety and quality assurance
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Minimum of two (2) years of outside sales experience, preferably in foodservice or produce distribution
  • Strong knowledge of the foodservice industry, particularly within the Tucson or Southern Arizona market, is highly desirable
  • Proven ability to build relationships and grow territory-based sales
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Ability to work independently in a field-based environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Valid driver's license, safe driving record, and proof of insurance

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to travel up to 90% within the Tucson metropolitan area and surrounding Southern Arizona region
  • Flexibility to accommodate early mornings, evenings, or weekend customer needs as required
