Produce Managers also handle ordering, pricing, and maintaining food safety standards. Their goal is to maximize sales while providing customers with high-quality, fresh produce.

What does a produce manager do?

As a produce manager, your responsibilities center on the operations of the produce department within a grocery store. You manage staff, promote sales, and ensure company standards of quality and customer service. As part of your duties, you may create displays to boost sales of fruits and vegetables, manage and track inventory levels, and collaborate with other department leaders. These skills ensure the produce section runs efficiently, meets safety standards, and provides customers with fresh, appealing products.
