Pay Range: $20.25- $32.00

SUMMARY
Provides fast, friendly, helpful and efficient service to all Price Chopper customers. Manages the overall operation of the produce department to include budgeting and financial results, product ordering, human resource/training and inventory control measures. Oversees clerks within department and monitors for the proper merchandising, rotation and inventory levels of product to promote optimal opportunity for sales. Ensures that all produce associates maintain a high level of customer courtesy and service at all times. Ensures that all merchandising programs are executed completely, as per the merchandising department guidelines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Does not supervise associates on a regular basis.
Consistently work to provide fast, friendly, helpful and efficient customer service at all times.
Responsible for proper handling and merchandising of all produce products according to company policy.
Display and express a complete knowledge of all produce products to the customer.
Responsible for smiling, making eye contact and thanking customer upon fulfilling customer's request.
Maintain a neat, clean and organized workstation, according to 5S standards, at all times.  
Responsible for achieving all budgeted financial figures for the Produce Department as stipulated in the store profit plan.
Manage the day-to-day operations of the Produce Department.
Responsible for product merchandising to include product arrangements, displays, rotation and inventory controls as per the merchandising department standards.
Responsible for ordering all merchandise and supplies within the Produce Department in order to achieve the overall department conditions required as per company standards.  
Control inventory levels to company standards.  
Consistently manage the produce department to work within company efficiency standards.
Assume all responsibilities of the Produce Department as per company guidelines set by the produce volume ranges or at the discretion of management.  
Ensure the Produce department developmental needs for future staffing growth are forecasted and achieved.  
Responsible for managing the store at the need and discretion of the Store Manager.
Ensure that all customer orders and deliveries are accurately fulfilled.
Ensure that all corporate and state sanitation and safety procedures and regulations are followed.
Responsible for training all new associates in produce operations.
Control shrink through adherence to related policies and procedures.
Perform other related duties as assigned by management and adhere to all company policies and procedures.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be at least 18 years of age. Ability to manage others and demonstrate follow-through to achieve desired results and objectives.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Satisfactory performance reviews. Strong communication skills. Basic computer skills. High School Degree or equivalent. 3+ years of related experience.
