Produce Associate | Piggly Wiggly
 
The Role: Freshness from Farm to Table
As a Produce Associate, you are responsible for the most colorful and inviting department in the store. We are looking for a professional, punctual, and high-energy individual to ensure our fruits and vegetables are always fresh, beautifully displayed, and ready for our neighbors' tables. Whether you are prepping fresh-cut fruit or unloading the morning delivery, your hard work keeps our community healthy and happy.
 

 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Inventory & Logistics: Unload fresh and boxed produce from delivery trucks using hand trucks. You'll be responsible for counting, weighing, and verifying all incoming items against invoices.
  • Quality Control: Maintain peak freshness by examining and rotating stock in storage to prevent aging and minimize waste.
  • Fresh Prep: Demonstrate delicacy and skill by cutting and preparing fruit into portions suitable for individual sale and attractive packaging.
  • Merchandising: Keep the sales floor stocked and organized, ensuring a clean and safe shopping environment for all guests.
  • Sanitation & Safety: Use high-pressure hoses and brooms to keep slicers, prep containers, and storage rooms spotless.
  • Technical Skill: Safely operate specialized equipment, including slicers, knives, and heated wrapping stations.
