Mission

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
• Produce accounting entries (payables, receivables, accruals, cash, investments, prepaid expenses, deferred revenues, equity).
• Perform bookkeeping and accounting entries for multiple entities.
• Prepare month-end and year-end closings.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Prepare bank reconciliations and monitor bank account balances.
• Follow up on cash balances with trustees.
• Execute bank transfers and issue checks.
• Prepare government remittance forms and payments.
• Develop working papers for the preparation of tax returns as well as the review of tax filings.
• Ensure proper filing of supporting documents for all accounting transactions.
• Provide support for the annual audit of portfolio investments.
• Participate in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements for portfolio investments, whether newly acquired or already operational.

Your profile

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS
• Diploma in Accounting and Management Techniques, a certificate in accounting, or a bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in bookkeeping / full accounting cycle.
• CPA designation in progress, an asset.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
• Professionalism, organizational skills, analytical mindset, autonomy, and attention to detail.
• Enjoy working in a team and comfortable in a growing organization.
• Skilled at handling multiple files simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
• Familiar with Sage 300c (Accpac) or any other accounting software.
• Proficient with the MS Office suite, particularly Excel.
• Bilingual in spoken and written French and English in order to communicate daily with colleagues in offices outside Quebec as well as with external partners across Canada, the United States, and internationally.
