Job description

With the creation of a new Corporate Finance Technology Team and multiple FOT initiatives, acquisitions and organizational changes ongoing, we need to increase our capabilities in the Fin Tech Team.
The Financial Systems Lead Developer supports and leads the FIS system required to run the business while ensuring integrity and reliability of the client's management accounts through policies, processes and effective management of system changes. The role supports the system that provides the consolidation infrastructure to segments, regions and units to aggregate annual operating plans as well as actual results on a periodic, year-to-date and MAT basis. This role is responsible to maintain the FIS platform for the businesses to generate regular performance and ad-hoc insights through analytics.
The Lead Developer a significant role as a business partner in the design, implementation and delivery of corporate requirements and transparency of financial performance through integrated systems, processes and ultimately reporting. This information is used to support business decisions across the corporation.
The Lead Developer provides accurate oversight of technology, solutions, problem solving, mentoring, and timely financial data and standard analysis to support management decisions as required. Effectively leverages on financial systems to prepare, analyze and interpret results in a timely manner explaining variances to main KPIs and uncovering favorable and unfavorable long-term trends.
The tech lead is key to ensuring timely financials are available as they oversee the Period Submissions and Plan submissions. Whether resolving technical, financial, functional or process issue, ownership, business acumen and acute problem solving is required.
Responsibilities:
• Maintain FIS / Essbase, as an Integral part of management reporting
• User support for FIS / Essbase / SmartView users
• Manage close and plan processes in FIS / Essbase
• Maintain and update the FIS/Essbase Outlines in accordance with the changing business needs
• Ensure the FIS databases and HELIOS are aligned
• Closely work with FIS technical support team
• Provide user support to all FIS users
• Maintain and update FIS training materials
• Perform month end close activities in FIS/Essbase
• Participate In data restatements, working alongside the HELIOS team to ensure FIS data integrity is maintained
• Drive data quality improvement initiatives & (re-)enforcement of data quality roles & responsibilities.
• Continuously maintain security of FIS and drive security awareness

Qualifications:

  • Essbase (BSO, ASO, Calc, MDX, Maxl, Report Scripts)
  • Oracle PL/SQL (including advanced SQL, functions, procedures, packages)
  • Linux scripting (K shell, Bash shell)
Knowledge/Experience:
  • 10+ years of business experience with deep understanding of Finance processes and systems
  • Demonstrate understanding of how finance processes, internal and external reporting requirements and systems affect an organization along with the ability to link it to redesigned business data structures.
Functional Skills:
