This role drives supplier relationship management, negotiates contracts, and applies advanced financial analysis to support informed decision-making. By fostering a high-performing team environment, the position ensures alignment with business objectives while promoting continuous improvement and operational excellence. The Senior Manager collaborates cross-functionally to deliver sustainable procurement solutions that enhance overall organizational performance and uphold the highest standards of integrity and compliance.
About the team:
The Food Packaging Procurement Team collaborates closely with sourcing partners and key internal stakeholders to execute initiatives aligned with the sourcing strategy. The team supports trusted Private Brands by ensuring manufacturing excellence, supply reliability, and sustainability. Working in partnership with sourcing vendors post-approval, the team drives value creation while delivering Every Day Low Cost and Every Day Low Price commitments. Focused on strategic sourcing, negotiation, and supplier relationship management, the team adapts to evolving business needs to optimize category performance and mitigate risks, contributing to Walmart’s operational success and long-term objectives.
What you'll do:
  • Lead the development and execution of category strategies to identify savings and optimize procurement performance.
  • Manage supplier relationships through structured reviews, performance tracking, and risk mitigation.
  • Oversee complex sourcing events, including RFx processes and financial modeling to support informed decision-making.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration to resolve procurement challenges and implement corrective actions.
  • Supervise and develop procurement associates, fostering a high-performing, team-based environment.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Utilize data analytics to evaluate plans, forecast risks, and recommend process improvements.
