This individual will lead cross-functional projects including WMS and RMS implementations, new warehouse launches, customer implementations, continuous improvement initiatives, and other enterprise transformation programs. We are looking for someone with a strong background in project and program management within logistics, supply chain, warehousing, or 3PL operations, along with experience leading technology implementations and operational change.Title: Project Manager, Business Transformation & ImplementationTarget Salary: Approximately $130,00-$150,000 base + annual performance bonusPreferred Location: New Jersey, Pennsylvania, or Delaware, with the Chicago metropolitan area also being consideredTravel: Approximately 30% to 50%. Hybrid work arrangement with regular travel to Metropolitan facilities, customer locations, and implementation sites as required.Ideally, we are looking for someone who can operate independently, drive multiple strategic initiatives simultaneously, and partner effectively with Operations, IT, Finance, Customer Success, and Executive Leadership.Position OverviewAs the Project Manager, Business Transformation and Implementation, you will lead strategic enterpriseinitiatives that modernize Metropolitan Warehouse and Delivery's operations, technology, and customerexperience. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing cross-functional programsincluding WMS and RMS implementations, new warehouse launches, customer implementations, systemsintegrations, process improvement initiatives, and operational transformation projects.This is a highly visible role requiring exceptional project management, leadership, and organizational skills. Youwill partner closely with Operations, IT, Engineering, Finance, Sales, Customer Success, HR, and ExecutiveLeadership to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with Metropolitan's strategicobjectives.The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced logistics environment, is comfortable managing multiple complexinitiatives simultaneously, and can effectively balance strategic planning with hands-on execution.Primary Responsibilities* Lead enterprise-wide implementation projects including Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ReturnsManagement Systems (RMS), Transportation Management Systems (TMS), Business Intelligence platforms, andother strategic technology initiatives.* Develop and maintain integrated project plans, schedules, milestones, dependencies, resource plans, and projectbudgets.* Coordinate new warehouse and distribution center launches from planning through operational go-live, includingfacilities, IT, equipment, staffing, inventory migration, customer onboarding, and operational readiness.* Manage customer implementation projects, ensuring successful onboarding, integration, testing, training, andoperational transition.* Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between Operations, IT, Engineering, Finance, HR, Sales, CustomerSuccess, and external vendors.* Establish project governance including Steering Committee meetings, executive dashboards, RAID (Risks,Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) logs, action registers, and status reporting.* Identify project risks and develop mitigation plans to minimize schedule, operational, and customer impacts.* Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), system testing, cutover planning, hypercare activities, and post-implementation stabilization.* Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on operational efficiency, quality, customer experience,automation, and standardization.* Develop and maintain standardized project management methodologies, templates, documentation, andimplementation playbooks.* Support executive leadership with project reporting, milestone reviews, resource planning, and strategicrecommendations.* Coordinate vendor relationships
