Client Service Representative (Procurement/Purchasing) – Capital Projects

Location: Onsite Monday–Thursday | Remote Fridays

Duration: Long-Term Contract (Minimum 18 Months)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Client Service Representative (CSR) to support a Capital Purchasing organization responsible for procurement planning, sourcing support, and purchasing operations for large capital projects. This role serves as the primary liaison between engineering, procurement, project teams, and suppliers to ensure timely and accurate processing of purchasing transactions.

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or buyer support experience who enjoy working in a fast-paced project environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Process Material Specification Transmittal (MST) packages and procurement documentation.
  • Prepare and process Request for Quotes (RFQs).
  • Create, update, and maintain Purchase Orders (POs) and addendums.
  • Ensure procurement documentation meets established quality and compliance standards.
  • Coordinate with engineering teams, internal stakeholders, and suppliers throughout the purchasing process.
  • Monitor procurement transactions and maintain accurate tracking records.
  • Resolve purchasing and supplier-related issues while ensuring timely transaction completion.
  • Maintain procurement records within purchasing systems.
  • Support continuous process improvements and best procurement practices.
  • Provide guidance and training on procurement processes when needed.


Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience.
  • Experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, buyer support, procurement operations, or purchasing administration.
  • Hands-on experience creating and processing Purchase Orders (POs), RFQs, and procurement documentation.
  • Experience working with ERP or purchasing systems such as SAP, Oracle, Ariba, Coupa, Maximo, JD Edwards, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Outlook.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.


Preferred Experience

  • Capital projects or engineering procurement support.
  • Manufacturing, chemical, oil & gas, industrial, EPC, construction, or heavy manufacturing environments.
  • Vendor and supplier coordination.
  • Procurement compliance and purchasing workflow experience.


Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive, with a strong background in procurement operations and purchase order processing. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with cross-functional teams, managing multiple procurement transactions, and ensuring purchasing activities are completed accurately and on schedule.


Work Schedule: Onsite Monday through Thursday; Remote on Fridays (hours may vary).

Interview Process: Initial Microsoft Teams interview, followed by an onsite interview if required.
