Job description

Project Manager (MNAA CIP)
***Work Location: Nashville, TN ***
Salary: Based on experience and will be discussed with the manager during the interview
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Develops scope of project, planning/concept documents, engineering documents, and construction documents.
  • Develop procurement documents as project dictates.
  • Manages contract development.
  • Participates in procurement selection process.
  • Negotiates engineering/architectural/construction contracts and change orders as necessary
  • Leads architectural/engineering and construction for development of plans and construction
  • Oversees architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and civil reviews for all submittals
  • Performs constructability reviews of plans and specifications at required stages of design.
  • Coordinates with all departments to ensure compliance with standards, codes, and guidelines.
  • Oversees all design and construction.
  • Administer and attend meetings, reviews submittals, and shop drawings for work being performed.
  • Reports, maintains and updates project reporting and database throughout tenant project and project closeout.
  • Reviews construction schedule for completeness and progress.
  • Confers with supervisory personnel, contractors, design consultants, and other professionals to resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints, and construction problems.
  • Coordinates construction activities among property owners, state officials, departments, contractors, and design team to ensure projects are planned in logical steps, and time is budgeted to meet deadlines.
  • Identifies environmental hazards and addresses them in accordance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience:
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field required.
  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience of relevant project management experience
  • Knowledge of airport operations and the construction of aviation facilities is required.
  • Experience serving as an Owner's Representative
  • Experience managing landside or facility-related projects (non-airfield)
  • Strong project management experience with an emphasis on planning, design, procurement, and project delivery rather than construction supervision.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders.
