You are:

As an IT Management Consultant, you will have a dedicated focus on Accenture's IT Center of Excellence to support all aspects of client-facing IT sourcing and cost optimization projects. You will be expected to work closely with clients and suppliers to drive project initiatives and will lead consulting, problem solving, project management and data analysis that will be the basis for strategic client decision making. Further, you will play an important role in deepening the expertise of Accenture's IT Center of Excellence and capturing knowledge to support business development opportunities while helping scale Accenture's IT capabilities.

The ideal candidate possesses some experience and exposure to IT procurement and/or negotiations across areas such as IT Services & Labor, IT Infrastructure, IT Software, and Telecommunications. While depth in all areas is not expected at this level, you will be expected to infuse Accenture's Sourcing & Procurement consulting business with any existing knowledge and to build upon your current IT Procurement base by demonstrating a strong aptitude for learning.

The Work:

Project Execution

  • Create robust sourcing strategies and recommendations

  • Provide IT thought leadership and benchmarking

  • Synthesize disparate data sources into insights and clear deliverables

  • Work together with clients to identify and interpret key project requirements

  • Develop and nurture relationships with client stakeholders

  • Facilitate development of project plans and overall project management to ensure effective delivery of client project work and client deliverables

  • Coordinate with subject matter experts within and outside of the firm

  • Work with contractors, consultants, and internal /external resources to align priorities, accomplish objectives, and satisfy all stakeholders

  • Contribute to the IT Center of Excellence's strategic decisions and direction

  • Exhibitintegrity in decisions and firm relationships

  • Achieve excellence and dependability through the execution of projects and initiatives

Business Development

  • Support sales calls

  • Develop sales-support materials

  • Provide IT thought leadership

  • Support development and review of client IT Spend summaries

  • Work with team to identify and assess opportunities for savings and cost optimization through various IT sourcing levers

Practice Development

  • Create and curate deliverable content (POV slides, case studies, whitepapers, etc.) to capture IT category knowledge and ultimately support internal knowledge share and business development

  • Develop and execute strategies to aggregate data for ongoing benchmarking, insight generation, and data analysis

  • Assist with ongoing development and management of intellectual capital

Here's what you need:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience executing Strategic Sourcing projects/programs, including exposure to IT negotiations

  • Minimum 1 year experience with Microsoft Office (Excel & PowerPoint) products, including the ability to develop and interpret complex analytical models and ad-hoc reports

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years) work experience. (If associate degree, must have a minimum of 6 years' work experience)

Bonus points if:

  • You have proven client-facing skills and are proficient at building and nurturing client relationships

  • You excel at planning and managing multiple projects, tasks, and initiatives simultaneously

  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written), including the ability to present comfortably to senior executives

  • Strong analytical skills

  • You have deep IT category and procurement expertise in one or more of the following - hardware, software, infrastructure, networking, cloud services, labor

  • Comfortable in an entrepreneurial, performance-driven environment and a capacity for innovation and process improvement

  • Prior experience in driving insights using visualization tools (i.e., Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx) and analytics tools (i.e., Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics)

  • You have earned an MBA or equivalent graduate degree
