Familiarity with ERP systems like SAP, procurement software, and certifications such as CPSM or APICS are commonly required. Procurement Logistics professionals work closely with departments such as purchasing, inventory management, production, and shipping to coordinate the timely acquisition and delivery of materials. They often serve as the bridge between suppliers and internal teams, ensuring that purchase orders align with production schedules and inventory levels. Regular meetings and clear communication are common practices to address any supply disruptions, negotiate delivery timelines, and resolve discrepancies. This collaborative approach helps maintain efficient operations and minimizes delays or excess costs.
