Location:UK– Flexible
We're looking for an exceptional procurement leader to join our team as Director of Procurement.
This is a rare opportunity to lead and transform a major procurement function with responsibility for over£500m of annual spend across the UK and North America. You will play a critical role in shaping commercial strategy, strengthening supply chain resilience, driving sustainable value, and ensuring procurement is positioned as a true strategic partner to the business.
You will have the influence, autonomy, and support to deliver meaningful change across a complex and evolving organisation.
The Opportunity

As Director of Procurement, you'll define and execute a forward-thinking procurement strategy that supports our growth ambitions, operational excellence, and long-term business objectives.
You'll lead a high-performing procurement team, build strong partnerships across the organisation, and work closely with senior stakeholders to unlock value, improve performance, and manage risk across the supply chain.
This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact by leading large-scale transformation programmes, embedding best practice procurement processes, and leveraging technology, data, and innovation to drive measurable business outcomes.
What you'll be responsible for

  • Developing and delivering a Group-wide procurement strategy aligned to business priorities.
  • Leading category management, strategic sourcing, and supplier relationship management across all spend areas.
  • Driving procurement transformation initiatives that improve efficiency, capability, and value creation.
  • Building and developing a high-performing procurement function and leadership team.
  • Partnering with Executive, Finance, Operations, Commercial, and Business Unit leaders to influence key decisions and investment priorities.
  • Strengthening governance, compliance, and risk management across procurement and supply chain activities.
  • Optimising working capital and delivering sustainable cost and value improvements.
  • Championing innovation, continuous improvement, and the adoption of technology and data-led decision making.
  • Developing strategic supplier partnerships that enhance resilience, performance, and long-term value.

About you

You'll be a commercially minded and influential procurement executive with a proven track record of leading procurement functions within complex, regulated, multi-site environments.
You will bring:

  • Extensive senior leadership experience within strategic procurement and supply chain management.
  • A track record of delivering significant commercial value, cost optimisation, and business transformation.
  • Experience managing large-scale procurement spend and complex supplier portfolios.
  • Strong executive-level stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Expertise in category management, sourcing, contract negotiation, supplier performance, and risk management.
  • Experience leveraging technology, analytics, and process improvement to drive procurement excellence.
  • The ability to inspire, develop, and lead high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

Why Join Us?

This is more than a procurement leadership role. It is an opportunity to shape the future direction of a business where procurement is recognised as a strategic driver of performance and growth.
You'll join an ambitious organisation with a clear vision, strong leadership, and a commitment to continuous improvement. In return, you'll have the platform to make a lasting impact, lead meaningful transformation, and build a best-in-class procurement function.
If you are an accomplished procurement leader looking for your next challenge, we'd love to hear from you.
