The Manager, Global Procurement supports the development and execution of strategic sourcing initiatives across supply chain, last-mile delivery, fleet and energy categories, driving cost efficiencies, supplier performance, and risk mitigation. This role manages sourcing events, supplier relationships, contract negotiations, and financial analysis while partnering with business stakeholders to deliver against operational and financial objectives. The Manager uses data, market intelligence, and strong commercial judgment to identify opportunities, solve problems, and improve procurement outcomes. This role collaborates cross-functionally to support procurement strategies, strengthen supplier performance, and deliver sustainable value across Walmart's network while upholding the company's standards of integrity and ethical conduct.
About the team:
The Global Procurement team supporting Supply Chain, Transportation, Last Mile, Fleet and Energy advances a One Walmart approach by leveraging our collective scale, capabilities, and supplier relationships across the enterprise. We partner cross-functionally to develop sourcing strategies across transportation, delivery services, fleet and equipment, leasing, electrification, automation, energy, and emerging technologies. Through disciplined sourcing, supplier management, and strong governance, we break down silos, align requirements, reduce cost and risk, improve supplier performance, and develop scalable solutions that strengthen Walmart’s transportation and supply chain capabilities while delivering value for our customers and members.
What you'll do:
  • Execute sourcing strategies across transportation, last mile, fleet, and related categories. 
  • Lead RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, supplier evaluations, negotiations, and award recommendations. 
  • Analyze spend, markets, supplier capabilities, capacity, cost drivers, and industry trends. 
  • Develop financial models and total cost of ownership analyses to support sourcing decisions. 
  • Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and service levels with strategic suppliers. 
  • Manage supplier performance, KPIs, compliance, issue resolution, and continuous improvement. 
  • Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Transportation, Finance, Legal, and Supply Chain. 
  •   Identify market risks, opportunities, and emerging technologies while managing multiple sourcing initiatives and supporting One Walmart priorities.

What you'll bring:
  • Experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, transportation, logistics, supply chain, or supplier management.
  • Transportation, logistics, fleet, or supply chain experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead sourcing events and negotiate commercial agreements.
  • Strong analytical and financial skills, including cost, rate, and total cost of ownership analysis.
  • Ability to build relationships and influence cross-functional stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Experience managing supplier performance, accountability, and issue resolution.
  • Strong communication, organization, and project management skills.
  • Ability to leverage data and market intelligence to drive recommendations.
  • Commercial curiosity, sound judgment, ownership, and ability to execute in a fast-paced environment.
