Position Description and Purpose:

Key Essential Functions/Duties:

  • Develop and execute procurement strategy aligned with business objectives
  • Lead and manage the purchasing team, including buyers and procurement specialists.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts, pricing, and service-level agreements.
  • Monitor market trends, pricing, and supply chain risks to ensure competitive advantage.
  • Implement procurement best practices, policies, and systems to improve efficiency and compliance.
  • Lead supplier relationship management and contract negotiations
  • Oversee Source-to-Pay processes and procurement governance
  • Drive cost savings, risk mitigation, and financial performance
  • Lead and develop a high-performing procurement team
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support operations and growth
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, legal requirements, and ethical standards.

Education/Experience/Skills/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or professional certifications (e.g., CPSM, CPM) preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in purchasing or procurement, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship skills.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and procurement tools.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
