Job description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager to join our Packaging Strategic Procurement team! 

In this role, you will be a people leader responsible for a wide range of process improvement and supply chain execution projects across all of our North American brands, supported by a team of Associate Strategy Managers and Strategy Managers. 

You will support as the key business driver for the annual Packaging budgets for the respective business units across North America. You also have key responsibilities over setting the annual Packaging budgets; COGS Management and improvement. You will be the business owner of the Packaging COGS program roll-out and management for North America, which includes but is not limited to: monthly financial performance review, analysis and investigation of variance, reporting on key variance drivers, and prioritization/assignment of action items.

Strategic Procurement
  • Subject Matter Expert (SME): Act as an SME across multiple categories to support the North American Sourcing team, including developing category strategies and executing supply chain transformation projects.
  • Negotiation & Contracts: Successfully negotiate contracts with suppliers to drive mutual value. Manage all contract and project functions (pre- and post-award), inventory management strategy, and internal coordination (Ops, Legal, Finance, etc.).
  • Risk Mitigation: Negotiate Master Services Agreements, liaise with in-house counsel, and build a robust supply chain to reduce disruption risk and total spend.
Budget Ownership
  • Be responsible for helping to build and manage against various brand budgets and to execute financial management for your respective categories, including the yearly budget, cost savings roadmap, and financial waste metrics.
Collaboration and Communication
  • Lead and document Procurement tasks across the supply chain with clear cross-functional team leadership.
  • Support the integration of North American business processes and tool-sets.
  • Collaborate with Procurement Operations and Planning to approve weekly supplier allocations, set SKU usage parameters, and influence overall packaging execution strategy.
  • Work cross-functionally with stakeholders (Product, Product Validation, etc.) to develop new packaging solutions.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and stretch projects.

  • Flexibility to travel to suppliers, production sites, and other HelloFresh office locations, including internationally (up to 25%).
