Job description

Job Title: Associate Buyer Job Category: Contracts Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: None Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 10% Type of Travel: Continental US * * * The Opportunity: This position will be in our CACI Enterprise Services , where the individual will work under close supervision to prepare and administer purchase orders for materials in accordance with client requirements, government regulations and procurement policies/procedures. Typically works on purchasing activities valued up to $150,000. May be assigned higher value tasks with oversight from more senior level staff.

Must comply with corporate policies, procedures, and underlying Federal, state, and/or local regulations concerning the purchase and/or shipment of goods, materials, and services. Responsibilities: Review requisition, solicit/evaluate bid, recommend and select supplier for award of purchase orders. Negotiate price, quality, delivery and other terms and conditions.

Perform oversight on all awarded purchase orders until delivery/completion of goods/services. Coordinate and prioritize activities in a fast-paced environment. Recruit and maintain responsive suppliers providing high quality products and services at fair and reasonable prices.

Negotiate with suppliers and settles damage claims, rejections, losses, return of materials, over-shipments, cancellations, and engineering change orders. Qualifications: Required: Typically has a Bachelor's degree or Associates/Vocational/Technical education or equivalent, and 0 to 2 years of related purchasing experience. Ability to complete milestones and work toward multiple deadlines simultaneously.

Highly organized with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Attention to details and problem-solving skills. Desired: Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent.

Experience in Costpoint and P2P systems is a plus. Knowledge of FAR, DFAR and GSA Schedules. Advanced Excel and Word Document skills.
