Overview

Job Purpose

Intercontinental Exchange Inc. (ICE) is looking for a highly motivated and proactive leader with exceptional analytical, communication and business acumen skills to join our dynamic Procurement team. This person must have deep expertise in strategic sourcing and category management, with a proven ability to manage complex, high value software spend in a global organization. The ideal candidate will demonstrate success in driving cost optimization, exceeding savings targets, and fostering cross-functional collaboration to ensure efficient and compliant procurement practices.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of the software procurement category, all related spend and processes
  • Lead negotiation and contract management for large-scale, complex software agreements, driving stronger commercial terms, meaningful cost reductions, and lower risk exposure
  • Work closely with stakeholders, the legal team, senior leadership, and suppliers to define requirements and strategize on contract negotiations
  • Lead, mentor and support a team of Procurement Analysts
  • Proactively analyze full category spend with the goal of increasing efficiencies, reducing costs and improving terms
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with procurement practices and supplier relationships
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures and regulatory requirements in all procurement activities
  • Learn the specifics of all purchasing categories and be able to back up other team members as necessary

Knowledge and Experience

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree
  • 5+ years of indirect Procurement experience in managing the software purchasing spend category at a large global organization
  • Demonstrated success negotiating complex, high-value software agreements, including pricing, licensing, and commercial terms
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage and interpret large data sets and drive actionable insights
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment to meet multiple competing and critical deadlines
  • Must be efficient in problem solving and identifying workarounds
  • Must possess sound judgment and meet ethical obligations to perform purchasing duties on behalf of the company
  • Strong proficiency in Oracle Cloud, ServiceNow, Tableau, and AI-driven process automation.
