The Department of Revenue, Division of Administrative Services is recruiting for a Procurement Specialist 2 in Juneau!
This position is open to Alaska Residents only. Please check our to determine if you qualify.
What You Will Be Doing:

• Serve as the Department of Revenue's lead procurement specialist by coordinating procurements for goods, services, and information technology; ensuring compliance with State procurement laws, regulations, and policies; and partnering with divisions to provide procurement guidance, develop solicitation and purchasing strategies, coordinate contracts, and deliver exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
• Oversee the Department of Revenue's property management functions by managing inventory control, surplus property, and asset accountability; maintaining accurate records in compliance with State requirements; and supporting department operations through administrative services including accounts payable processing, administrative support, and backup coverage for travel, timekeeping, employee movement, and other department-wide activities.
• Contribute to continuous process improvement across the Department of Revenue by developing procedures, streamlining administrative processes, and supporting efficient operations throughout the organization.

The Working Environment You Can Expect:This position is based in the Department of Revenue's Administrative Services office in Juneau and works closely with divisions throughout the department, state agencies, vendors, and contractors in a collaborative office environment. Minimum Qualifications
Any combination of education and/or experience that provides the applicant with competencies in

• Contracting/Procurement/Property Control: Knowledge of various types of contracts, techniques, or requirements for contracting or procurement, contract negotiation and administration; procedures for routine and non-routine purchases; practices and methods used for property control activities, including acquisition, storage, accounting, and controlled property excess.
• Analytical Thinking/Problem Solving: uses a logical, systematic, sequential approach to address problems or opportunities or manage a situation by drawing on one's knowledge and experience base and calling on other references and resources as necessary.

Any combination of preparatory post-secondary education and/or experience in business administration, logistics, supply chain management, project management, or a related field performing property control, purchasing, contract administration, writing or approving solicitations, explaining contracting requirements, developing or approving product specifications or, developing or approving a scope of work for professional services.

The Alaska Public Safety Information Network (APSIN) is utilized in this position. A background check and fingerprinting will be required.
The incumbent will be required to obtain APSIN access, which will be done through the office.
