Job description

Job Title: Procurement Coordinator

Duration: 12 months

Schedule: 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off

Location: Alaska, North Slope


This opportunity supports procurement and material management activities for ongoing industrial operations in a remote Arctic environment. The role is focused on coordinating materials, equipment and services to help maintain project schedules, logistics flow and operational readiness. This position offers exposure to procurement, supply chain operations and inventory control within an active construction environment.


  • ResponsibilitiesCoordinate procurement activities for materials, equipment, tools, and subcontracted services.
  • Prepare and process purchase requisitions and purchase orders.
  • Monitor procurement schedules and ensure timely delivery of critical materials.
  • Communicate with vendors and suppliers regarding pricing, availability, delivery dates, and order status.
  • Support bid solicitations, quote evaluations, and supplier selection activities.
  • Maintain procurement records, purchase orders, contracts, and supplier documentation.
  • Coordinate closely with logistics and warehouse teams to track inbound shipments and material receipts.
  • Assist with material forecasting and procurement planning efforts.
  • Monitor inventory levels and support replenishment activities.
  • Expedite critical materials to support project schedules and operational requirements.
  • Support invoice reconciliation and receipt verification processes.
  • Generate procurement status reports and communicate procurement updates to project stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, client requirements, and contractual obligations.
  • Requirements:5 to 7 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, materials management or sourcing.
  • Experience supporting industrial construction, oil and gas, mining, infrastructure, LNG, pipeline or energy projects.
  • Experience coordinating procurement of materials, equipment, tools and subcontracted services in a fast-paced project environment.
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes, purchase order management and supplier coordination.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Experience using ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, Maximo or similar platforms.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while supporting procurement planning, material tracking and receipt verification.


  • Preferred Qualifications:Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Procurement, Construction Management or a related field preferred.
  • Alaska North Slope experience.
  • Experience supporting remote or camp-based operations.
  • Knowledge of materials management and inventory control processes.
  • Experience supporting major capital projects or industrial maintenance programmes.
  • Familiarity with freight coordination and remote site logistics.
  • Understanding of procurement compliance, contract administration and vendor management principles.
