In this role, you'll serve as a trusted and strategic partner to the Chief Strategy Officer, driving high-impact strategic initiatives, enhancing organizational effectiveness, and managing key business priorities. Your primary goal will be ensuring cross-functional alignment and enabling operational excellence by anticipating needs, removing roadblocks, and translating strategic vision into concrete execution.
As a Director, Strategic Initiatives, you'll partner with senior initiative owners, cross-functional leaders, and executive leadership to drive program momentum, surface risks before they become blockers, and sequence critical work streams. • Drive cross-functional alignment and accountability across departments to remove operational blockers, resolve ambiguity, and sequence work for cohesive execution.
  • Lead and execute high-impact strategic projects and special initiatives across the organization, ensuring timely delivery and measurable outcomes.
  • Oversee and drive core rhythm of the business activities, including quarterly business reviews (QBRs), OKRs/KPI tracking, and annual strategic planning cycles.
  • Enhance the effectiveness of key executive meetings by establishing clear agendas, driving high-quality content, communicating outcomes, and tracking follow-up actions to completion.
  • Identify systemic operational gaps and implement process improvements, best practices, and change management frameworks to help teams adapt to new structures and technologies.
  • Partner with finance and functional leaders to guide cross-functional planning and resource allocation, ensuring major initiatives align with strategic priorities.
  • Provide regular executive updates and performance reporting on the progress, risks, and overall health of Procore's core strategic big bets.

What we're looking for:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Operations, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in corporate strategy, management consulting, business operations, or strategic program management, ideally within a fast-growing SaaS or technology company.
  • Proven track record of directly partnering with C-suite executives and senior leaders to drive enterprise-wide strategic transformation and operational rhythms.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking and analytical capabilities paired with strong operational discipline and execution-focused execution.
  • Expert-level executive communication, presentation, and storytelling skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • High emotional intelligence, sound business judgment, and a proactive mindset capable of thriving in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex change management initiatives and cross-functional process improvements at scale.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus.
