Coopers Building Srvs - Sr. Construction Manager/Superintendent (TS/SCI)


Recruiting a Sr. Superintendent for ground-up construction or renovation of major Federal commercial construction projects in Metro Washington DC


Position Summary:

Senior Federal Superintendent role based in the DMV region. This position is ideal for experienced professionals who take pride in building secure, high-impact projects that support national security, law enforcement, and border protection.


Responsibilities:

Lead ground-up and renovation projects for Federal clients in secured environments (SCIF's). Manage all aspects of the construction site, including safety, scheduling, quality control, and coordination. Supervise support staff, run subcontractor and stakeholder meetings, and ensure the successful delivery of projects.


Candidate Requirements:

  • MUST BE a U.S. CITIZEN and able to obtain Top Secret Clearance
  • Prefer candidates with active Top Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering or 15+ years of site leadership experience
  • Proven track record of completing at least two Federal projects ($15M+) as a Senior Superintendent in the past five years
  • OSHA 30 and First Aid/CPR/AED certifications
  • Procore certification preferred
  • Strong leadership and coordination skills with a confident, decisive management style


Candidates Experience to include:

  • Minimum Experience: 15 years General Contracting experience in an increasing project supervision role building or renovation major Federal projects. Security Clearance would be a benefit but not required. SCIF construction experience highly desired.
  • Core Competency: Excellent communication and leadership skills to push the job. Comfortable Interacting with project stakeholders in a senior supervision role is a must.
  • Core Skills: Ability to oversee, organize, motivate and lead construction team to fulfill contract obligations for safety; quality Installation; schedule; and scope & terms. Able to develop and drive project schedule and push a job to meet plan. Contribute to the project's budgeting & cost management controls to enhance project profits.
