We are seeking a Sr. Mortgage Loan Processor to join our team!

WHAT you'll do:

MORTGAGE PROCESSING & ANALYSIS

Responsible for setting conditions for processing and analyzing loan files, preparing files for final underwriting, and conducting quality control including but not limited to:

Calculating and analyzing borrower information including income, loan documentation, disclosures and borrower documentation, Provides direction and oversite for collection of data from applicant process.

Reviewing paperwork for loans, setting conditions for processing and analyzes loan files and preparing files for underwriting and QC.

Verifying borrower information and conducting analysis and QC of loan files.

Ensuring loan file meets program guidelines as well as all federal and state compliance requirements. Request additional information when needed.

Providing direction and oversight for collection of data from the applicant process and in reviewing collected verifications.

Tracking loan actions in the mortgage loan system and all deadlines and compliance alerts.

Reviewing and analyzing property appraisals; identifying collateral issues and initiating potential remedies.

Working with borrowers and loan officers to obtain needed info to complete file, if needed.

Troubleshooting complex documentation issues.

Reviewing applications for completeness, identifying open issues and requiring documentation and prepares files for underwriting.

Analyzing complete borrower information, identifying when additional information may be required and discussion any concerns with the Underwriter.

Collecting and reviewing data from clients for loan application and verifying borrower information as noted in the application.

Ordering and reviewing borrower verifications including verification of employment, credit, mortgage, and payoffs.

Monitoring deadlines for loans, track activity with Processors to ensure deadlines will be met.

Actively participating in team projects, as assigned.

Reviewing files for QC and prepare disclosures and compliance documents including Loan Estimates and redisclosures.

Training and supervising other staff on disclosures.

WHAT you'll need:

A Bachelor's degree or at least 3 year's related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience plus 3 years mortgage related experience.

3 years of experience with FHA underwriting or FHA processing preferred

Strong commitment to our mission - creating economic opportunity for traditionally underserved communities.

Preference for working in organizations that place priority on teamwork and collaboration

Strong Attention to detail.

Advanced ability to effectively plan, organize and prioritize work.

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups and /or individuals and to resolve borrower's concerns.

Ability to develop good relationships with borrowers and vendors; able to resolve borrower/vendor concerns.

Strong mathematical skills including the ability to handle complex calculations.

Ability to analyze financial and loan data independently.

Deep knowledge of mortgage lending process, requirements, and compliance requirements.

Strong technical aptitude including the ability to quickly learn new systems and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and PDFs. Strong knowledge and advanced ability to navigate mortgage loan system (Encompass).

Spanish fluency a plus.

Ability and willingness to work beyond normal work hours, as needed.
