Job description

This position is located in the Small Business Administration, Processing and Disbursement Division in Fort Worth, TX. The incumbent performs a variety of duties associated with providing disaster loan assistance to customers from across the United States, and in U.S. Territories and Commonwealths. The incumbent processes disaster loan, reconsideration and modification requests, and limited business applications.Qualifications:GS-07: One year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service, obtained in either the private or public sector:
  • Making recommendations to approve or decline home loans, home reconsiderations, home modifications, and sole proprietorship businesses and
  • Evaluating credit histories to determine credit worthiness of individuals, and
  • Analyzing financial statements such as federal tax returns, to determine repayment ability for loan applicants, and
  • Processing loan applications and reconsiderations using web-based financial/lending software to underwrite loans.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
