Job Purpose

Responsible for operating Mixer, Oven, and Fryers on the Production Lines within the specified guidelines to meet safety, efficacy, efficiency, and Quality. Perform other duties required by the Supervisor as necessary in order to produce a consistent product in a timely manner that meets all standards set forth by Barcel USA.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for following all aspects of company safety rules and procedures including helping inform management of any unsafe conditions. 
  • Follow all working guidelines instructed by the Barcel USA including the 5’s protocol which is based on keeping the working areas clean and organized. 
  • Must be proactive with people safety. 
  • Must operate lines according to specified guidelines to limited amount of waste. 
  • Must keep lines running at specified speeds. 
  • Must keep fryer operating accordingly in specification to avoid under cooked products or oil spills. 
  • Follow standard operating guidelines for fryer and ovens. 
  • Help the Mixer Person in his/her duties: Opening bags, Mixing, Load/Unload mixer. 
  • Must be able to complete all paperwork according to Barcel USA requirements. 
  • Keeps work area, tools and supplies clean, organized and sanitary throughout the work shift. 
  • Learn and be able to perform in all the other positions associated with the Process System. 
  • Follow all GMP’s and Safety Procedures as outlined by Barcel USA. 
  • Performs other duties as requested by Group Leader. 
  • Flexible on work schedule and Overtime as requested. 
  • Meet the KPI goals set by Management for the line they are responsible for. 
  • Ensuring the compliance of GMP’s, 5’s, safety, OSHA, HACCP and FSMA in the raw materials area.
  • High School diploma or equivalent work experience.
  • Reading, writing and mathematical skills. 
  • All products will be handled with care in the appropriate manner, as outlined in the Barcel USA System to minimize loss in the food safety, quality, or appearance of the finished product.
  • The Process area and tools will be maintained to a high standard of cleanliness.
  • Equipment problems or malfunctions and accidents will be reported immediately to the Production Supervisor.
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, climb, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, talk, hear, lift, and perform repetitive motions.
  • Ability to frequently move objects up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to operate a pallet jack, and other material handling equipment.
  • Ability to work well with the Barcel USA Team.
  • Ability to move from one task to another with minimal distraction.
