Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Process Engineering Manager located in Austin, TX.
Reporting to the Sr Director, Process Engineering, the Process Engineering Manager will manage process engineers and technicians focused on improving process engineering capabilities, establishing process control systems, and driving process capability, throughput, cost, and performance improvements in a manufacturing environment.
What a typical day looks like:
  • Lead and develop process engineers and technicians supporting manufacturing operations and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee Process Engineering activities supporting PCBA manufacturing operations, ensuring process capability, efficiency, and product quality.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation to support consistency, control, and operational execution.
  • Manage development projects aligned to customer product specifications, delivery, and cost expectations.
  • Partner with engineering teams to design products and processes that can be manufactured effectively.
  • Identify constrained areas and coordinate initiatives to increase throughput, reduce cost, and improve performance.
  • Develop, test, and implement new materials and processes for improved performance and/or lower cost.
  • Support people strategies to recruit, retain, mentor, and motivate a qualified engineering workforce.

The experience we're looking to add to our team:
  • 7+ years of engineering experience, including leadership within the electronics manufacturing industry.
  • Strong expertise in PCBA manufacturing processes, including SMT, paste printing, cleaning, and reflow.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related field).
  • Experience managing Process Engineering teams in a manufacturing environment.
  • Deep knowledge of SPC, process capability analysis, process documentation, and manufacturing process development.
  • Proven success leading projects meeting customer requirements for quality, delivery, cost, throughput, and performance.
  • Experience driving continuous improvement, cost reduction, and implementation of new materials and processes.
  • Strong problem-solving, technical, project management, and customer-facing skills, with the ability to analyze data and draw actionable conclusions.
