Position Summary
The Student Assistant for Admissions Processing assists the processing specialists with all tasks, processes, and documents received as part of a student application. This position reports to the Assistant Director of Admissions Processing.
Essential Functions
  • Works in a fast paced, high-profile environment.
  • Utilizes appropriate university databases to research student records.
  • Indexes documents using university BDM system.
  • Maintains confidentiality of student information and records.
  • Provides excellent customer service to prospective students, their families, and the university community.
  • Assists with opening and sorting incoming mail.
  • Inputs incoming and outgoing mail in Admissions mail log.
  • Assists with mail pick up and delivery between the Admissions office, UIW post office, and other campus offices.
  • Assists with packaging and labeling of recruitment materials, student packets, counselor materials, and other mail-outs.
  • Assists with facilitation of check-in for various admissions events.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to sit for long periods of time.
