Department: Development Operations

Classification: Non-Exempt, Hourly Full-Time

Benefits: Full Museum Benefits

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm, approx. 35 hours/week

Salary Range: $18-19/hour

Scope of the Position:

Working as part of the Museum's Gift Processing team, the Gift Processing Assistant supports the team and is responsible for accurately and efficiently processing and entering donation gifts and pledges into the Museum's donor database (Raiser's Edge). This position helps to maintain accurate donor records and supports all donor operations.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Accurately enter, record, and verify donation gifts and pledges into Raiser's Edge daily (e.g., daily reconciliation reports, complete deposit slips, enter gift details).
  • Correctly process gifts of different payment types (stocks, checks, wires, credit cards) across different channels (online, mail, onsite). 
  • Learn and utilize applications and software (e.g,.Importamatic) to facilitate online gift processing and other data imports. 
  • Work collaboratively across the department to ensure gift processing inquiries are addressed and necessary documents are on file. 
  • Complete gift and database administrative tasks and perform other duties as assigned. 

Requirements


Education, Experience, and Certifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of work experience in a non-profit fundraising department in a high-volume environment is preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Raisers Edge, NXT or other CRM systems
  • Previous experience working with databases, including running queries and exports
