Job description

Our client in Chestermere, AB. is seeking two temporary administrative assistants to provide front-desk and administrative support during a busy period at an established multidisciplinary healthcare clinic. The ideal candidates will have previous experience working in a healthcare, physiotherapy, chiropractic, rehabilitation, or multidisciplinary clinic setting and will be comfortable stepping into a role with minimal training. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who can confidently manage a busy front desk while providing a welcoming and professional experience for patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage patient appointments, scheduling, cancellations, and rescheduling.
  • Use JaneApp to manage appointments and patient accounts.
  • Process extended health insurance billing and payment reconciliation.
  • Manage Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) claims and billing.
  • Communicate professionally with insurance companies and adjusters.
  • Respond to incoming phone calls and emails.
  • Assist patients with inquiries, appointments, and account-related questions.
  • Complete general front-desk and administrative duties.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
  • Support the clinic team with day-to-day administrative needs.
  • Maintain a professional, organized, and welcoming reception environment.

Requirements:
  • Previous administrative experience in a healthcare or multidisciplinary clinic.
  • Strong working knowledge of JaneApp, including appointment scheduling and patient accounts.
  • Experience with extended health insurance billing and payment reconciliation.
  • Experience processing MVA claims and billing.
  • Experience communicating with insurance companies and adjusters.
  • Excellent telephone, email, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • The ability to work independently and confidently within an established clinic workflow.
  • The ability to remain calm, efficient, and professional in a busy environment.
