Job description

We are currently hiring for a full time Sterile Processing Technician within the Sterile Processing department here at Aspen Valley Health.
Work Shift:
Days - 10 Hour
Compensation Range:
$26.81 - $42.90Night and weekend shift differentials up to $10 per hour!Eligible new hires may qualify for a sign on bonus up to $10,000.
The compensation range listed is an estimate. Final compensation will be determined based on your qualifications including years of experience performing similar work, level of formal education in a relevant field of study, and any professional certifications related to the position.
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications & Requirements
  • Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST), or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire.
  • Certified Endoscope Reprocessor (CER), or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Position Overview:
The Sterile Processing Department (SPD) Technician cleans, disinfects, and sterilizes all instruments used for surgical procedures and patient care, performs all daily biological and sterile supply testing and maintains logs for each, functions throughout the facility to organize and direct instrument needs to units, assists clinical operations as needed with endoscopy procedures, stocks and orders supplies for unit as directed, and will be responsible for understanding and being fully involved in completion of competencies based on AVH policies, AORN, AAMI, HSPA, and CER standards that are used as guidelines for SPD practices. The SPD Technician will be an active member of the entire department, with the ability to help in roles outside of surgically specific job duties if needed. The SPD Technician will work collaboratively with others within the department to ensure an efficient, professional, and respectful environment. The SPD Technician will work with other departments as well in regards to patient safety and communication.
