1.      RESPONSIBILITIES

ABOUT THE JOB:

As a division of the Resources and Digital Transformation Service Unit (RESG), the Global Technology Services (GTS) department supports the IT infrastructure services at Societe Generale. GTS' mission is to provide the group's business divisions with secured infrastructures. This includes, but is not limited to, hosting business applications, offering cloud solutions, and managing connectivity and digital workplace requests, all while contributing to the group's digital transformation efforts.

What will be your DAY-TO-DAY?

                     Virtual and Cloud administration and engineering (VMware). Provide 3rd level support case handling in a large 24x7 distributed server environment operating within the realms of ITIL processes.

                     Develop documentation and procedures for near-shore and off-shore support teams.

                     Develop tools (PowerShell/Python) and API modules for automation, especially for the rolling upgrade of the VMware ESX clusters.

                     Work closely with both IT and business partners to design and implement solutions supporting business needs.

                     Diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical environments on distributed applications and infrastructure and ensuring secure solutions following industry best practices.

                     Contribute to market watch initiatives and recommend solutions to improve the environment and provide added value to the business.

                     Ensure procedures are followed and mechanisms are in place to ensure compliance with technical designs.

                     Act as a reference for the less experienced members of the team via documentation or direct training.

                     Communicate regularly with internal clients from different departments and project stakeholders.

1.      PROFILE REQUIRED

Skills and Qualifications:

Must Have:

       4 years of experience with VMware Technologies

       2 years of development experience (PowerShell/Python)

       Minimum of 4 years of experience with VMware Systems Administration, Architecture, and Engineering

       Methodology: Kanban or Scrum

       Automation Technologies: APIs, Orchestrator

       HPE / Dell / Nutanix x86 Hardware

       Change Management / ITIL process

       Experience working in a large (500 servers) 24x7 environment

       Client focused, able to work independently while interacting across different teams to accomplish projects

       Ability to complete detailed quality documentation

       Ability to learn and adapt to new environments quickly

       Educational requirements: Master's Degree in Engineering
