The Inventory Coordinator is responsible for maintaining the controls around the cost effective availability of gas and cylinder assets for the facility by identifying assets on hand, assets required and initiating requests for additional assets. The Inventory Coordinator will report directly to the Branch/ Plant Manager. The Inventory Control Coordinator will interface daily with the Branch /Plant Manager, Assistant Branch/ Plant Manager or designated Supervisors and the Regional Inventory Manager as needed. The Inventory Control Specialist works independently troubleshooting and developing solutions.

  • Ensures full and empty cylinder counts are accurate. Investigates variances from cycle counts and quarterly counts and work with facility to correct issues. Will assist with physical inventories.

  • Ensures consumption gases (Propane, Nitrogen, Argon) are properly relieved from inventory on a daily basis. Establishes and follows local process by creating and maintaining a daily tracking log.

  • Develops and maintains policies and procedures in partnership with purchasing and product management to ensure planning and control of inventory levels.

  • Reviews Days Stock on Hand providing an assessment of the production/procurement gaps as well as excessive inventory on hand. Reviews with branch management actions based on assessment.

  • Processes all locally submitted on demand cycle counts.

  • Ensures all 3rd party incoming gas purchase orders are received.

  • Coordinates the inventory for cylinder, raw counts and daily cylinder counts by working with the Regional Inventory Manager and the branch management team to ensure that all counts are accurate and timely per Regional guidelines.

  • Verifies branch has sufficient product to meet demand.

  • Establishes a working understanding of MRP settings.

  • Enters all bulk receipts daily.

  • Verifies and audit accurate truck reconciliation.

  • Troubleshoots identifying and communicating areas for improvements in the local inventory process.

  • Other responsibilities as may be assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Science or related degree field required. In lieu of degree, consideration for up to 4 years of additional related experience may be considered.

Prefered Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of prior experience in the bulk/gas industry in an analytical finance-related position.

  • Prior inventory analysis

  • Communicates effectively both verbally and in writing; listens effectively and clarifies information as needed; works well with others in a team environment across the organization knowing who to engage to achieve results. Uses candor and sensitivity in their dealings with others.

  • Strong demonstrated proficiency in MS Office products including Outlook, Excel, & Word.

  • Demonstrated working knowledge of SAP preferred.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively design, recommend and implement practices, processes and procedures with a high attention to detail.
