Tri Pointe Connect, the mortgage affiliate of Tri Pointe Homes, is looking for an experienced individual to join our talented group in Arizona as a Processing Manager. This is a hybrid position working out of our Operations Center in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Job Details
Position Summary: The Processing Manager will lead a team of Loan Processors through all aspects of loan processing, including daily workload management, file prioritization, managing and decisioning escalations, and monitoring productivity and loan quality. Responsibilities include ensuring Loan Processors perform with the highest level of customer service while ensuring loan productivity and quality metrics are continuously met.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee day to day operations within processing team to ensure excellence in customer service, compliance with all policies procedures, and regulations, as well as productivity and quality standards are met
  • Assist Loan Processors with questions about guidelines or documentation acceptability
  • Manage the Team's pipeline, to include assigning loans to Loan Processors on a daily basis
  • Monitor processes and efficiencies and work with Director of National Processing to identify key areas to improve productivity, loan quality, or customer experience
  • Manage pipeline deadlines to ensure loans are submitted to critical milestones to meet purchase contract close of escrow dates
  • Conduct 1:1's, huddles, and departmental meetings to ensure consistent communication is provided to all team members
  • Communicate with internal and external parties applicable to the transaction including but not limited to Loan Officers, builder representatives, real estate agents, homebuyers, title/escrow agents, homeowner's insurance agents, and others, as applicable
  • Responsible for preparing/conducting weekly status calls with Branch Managers, Loan Officers and Loan Processors, keeping everyone informed of the loan stages.
  • Ensure team compliance with company policies and procedures in addition to State and Federal regulatory requirements
  • May be required to perform processor duties in times of need, including but not limited to reviewing file for completeness, reviewing documentation submitted by borrowers and third parties, ensuring documentation and data are complete and accurate, and submitting loans to underwriting
  • Maintain updated communication logs as well as provide regular and accurate status reporting
  • Working with Director of National Processing and Human Resources, responsible for all aspects of personnel management including hiring, employee evaluations, disciplinary actions, salary recommendations, and termination
  • Address all escalations within a timely manner, working with internal operations and sales team members and leadership to resolve internal and external concerns with respect to loan decisions or loan conditions
  • Provide coaching and career development to processors seeking to expand their knowledge bank
  • Respond to post-closing audit requests as well as assist with resolution for any closed loan files requiring additional documentation
  • Assist with developing relevant training materials, checklists, or additional supplemental documents to help teach and train on various underwriting-related processes or guidelines
  • As required, participate in special projects or assignments

Job Requirements
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 5-7 years of mortgage experience, including 3-5 years of management; builder experience preferred
  • Loan origination experience, Encompass preferred

Skills:
  • MS Office; including Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Strong knowledge of Conventional, FHA, VA guidelines and Automated Underwriting Systems
  • Strong regulatory knowledge, including ECOA, HMDA, RESPA, and other applicable federal or state-specific guidelines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Strong time management skills along with the ability to prioritize workload and escalations while maintaining department service level agreements
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to meet internal and external expectations when working under fast paced sometimes tight deadlines
  • Proven judgment and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to work cooperatively with all parties (internal and external)
  • Ability to resolve time-sensitive escalations in an urgent manner, ensuring processes are in place or implemented to mitigate future escalations
  • Motivate team members to perform in times of high demand, ensuring loan quality and productivity are balanced
  • Strong ability to effectively manage through times of growth and change

Physical Requirements:
  • Sedentary for extended periods, 4 or more hours per day
  • Frequent repetitive hand use (typing/computer work)

  • Visual acuity for reading documents and computer work
