Job Summary and Qualifications

Primarily leads, directs, and coaches the CS/SPD teams to the highest standard of performance in cleaning, sterilization, inventory management, distribution of supplies and safety standards.

What you will do in the role:

  • Demonstrates working to achieve goals set in previous evaluation.
  • Demonstrates professional behavior and conduct at all times. Maintains good working relationships with other team members and other hospital departments
  • Shows competent functional, technical knowledge and skills to effectively perform decontamination
  • Shows competent functional, technical knowledge and skills to effectively perform Instruments prep.
  • Shows competent functional, technical knowledge and skills to effectively perform all forms of Sterilization
  • Adheres to standards of practice, policy and procedure to ensure patient safety
  • Demonstrates an awareness of cost containment and endeavors to conserve where possible
  • Co-ordinates instrument needs departmentally or from outside vendors. Supervise staff schedules and activities. Present leadership/management and unit organization 
What qualifications you will need:
  • Vocational School Graduate
  • (GVN) Graduate Vocational Nurse, or (CRCST) Certified Registered Central Service Technician
  • 3 to 5 years Supervisory Experience.
