Job description

Under the direction of the Supervisor I, the analyst performs work requiring knowledge of background check processes and program requirements. The analyst applies analytical skills and program knowledge to efficiently manage and process background check applications. This position involves handling a full caseload, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately, in compliance with regulations, and within established timelines, while consistently delivering high-quality results.
Applicants with knowledge of CCLD licensing laws, regulations and procedures, background check case management system, Licensing Information System (LIS), and the ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and other common software programs are highly desirable and will be given priority consideration. If you are a motivated, professional, and friendly person who enjoys assisting people in a collaborative environment, then this is the job for you.

Working Conditions
The Care Provider Management Branch exercises a hybrid work schedule as determined by the Department of Social Services. CPMB is in Rancho Cordova with free parking on-site. Many restaurants including Starbucks, Sandwich Spot and Subway are located within one mile of the office.
This position is eligible for hybrid work in accordance with the Governor's Executive Order N-22-25 and at the sole discretion of the Department of Social Services under California Government Code Section 14200. All telework schedules are subject to change and may be re-evaluated at any time. The incumbent will be expected to report for in office work and attend work related in-person events as deemed operationally necessary. Telework does not change the terms and conditions of employment, the essential functions of job duties, or required compliance with the CDSS policies. The successful candidate must reside in California upon appointment.
Please note: Regular commute is not compensable.
