Responsibilities
The CNC Machinist position is part of the Fabrication Team. This is a full-time, non-exempt position. This position will require a broad range of responsibilities to ensure success. Some examples of these responsibilities are listed below (but are not limited to the following):
• This role you will need to have the ability to set up the machine to produce components (tooling and work holding).
• Edit programs as necessary to work with the set up and tooling selection.
• Understanding of PTFE (Polytetraflouroethylene) to produce a smooth defect free surface.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints. Ability to use all measurement devices (calipers, micrometers,etc).
• Safety focused
Requirements
- CNC machine set-up (tooling and work holding)
- Blueprint reading and interpretation
- Tooling offsets and some editing
- Understanding use of calipers, micrometers, depth micrometers, height stands and other precision measuring tools.
- Troubleshoot machine issues
- G-code and M-code fundamentals
- Reading and troubleshooting existing CNC programs
- Haas mill and Okuma mill turn experience a plus
- Mastercam experience a plus
Compensation
$22.00-$26.00 / hour
