The Opportunity

The Quality Technician provides proactive support to internal customers at Server in the areas of product quality and safety. The Technician will use quality planning and control methods and tools to support product and process improvement in the manufacturing and engineering functions. These include methods and tools such as standard work documentation, quality SOPs, gauge control and gauge studies, process capability studies, structured problem solving, prevention-based product planning, and process-based auditing. This position will work with all levels of the organization, sometimes as part of a team or on individual assignments.

Responsibilities

  • Diligent and assertive adherence to quality expectations set by Server Products.
  • Ensure compliance with all quality standards across all stages of production.
  • Perform inspections on supplied and manufactured products.
  • Use ERP software to record inspection results and complete other transactions related to conformity issues.
  • Provide quality support for all manufacturing operations.
  • Drive corrective action through root cause identification and structured problem-solving.
  • Participate on cross-functional teams to address and resolve quality problems and to ensure the continuous, ongoing improvement of processes and methods.
  • Performs other duties or responsibilities as requested or required.

Requirements

  • High School diploma. Associateโ€™s degree in quality or operations preferred
  • Minimum of three to five years related experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • CMM measurement and programming experience preferred
  • Proactive solutioning along with the ability to challenge the status quo.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, standards, and measurement gauges.
  • Ability to analyze situations and problems using fact-based, problem-solving methods.
  • Works safely, following all job requirements for safety.
