JOB DESCRIPTION

Seeking experienced litigation paralegal for litigation, landlord-tenant and tax certiorari matters.  Experienced litigation paralegal candidate must be able to demonstrate professional integrity, attention to detail, positive attitude and exercise good judgment in handling a diverse calendar and dealing with  clients, courts, process servers and other attorneys.  The qualified candidate must be detail-oriented, a self-starter, who is extremely responsible, dependable, highly motivated, able to work in a fast-paced environment, possess a great work attitude and be a team player.  Candidate must be able to work independently while, at the same time, be able to clearly and routinely communicate file status via project management software and through traditional methods.

The firm relies heavily on the latest technology to enable work from remote locations. Flex-time, part-time and remote working available for the right candidate.  

 

PRINCIPLE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

·    Organize and coordinate litigation matters, including preparation of initial templates of court documents and compiling and filing final drafts after attorneys finalize drafts.

·        Coordination of discovery and service of papers by process servers. 

·        Update and maintain firm court calendar and client files.

·        Coordinate client communications with attorneys.

·        Maintain and update project management software for each litigation matter.

 

Qualifications

·        Paralegal experience in a litigation firm or similar experience

·        Experience preparing draft legal pleadings and compiling documents for court filing

·        Familiarity with navigating court procedures

·        Licensed Notary 

·        Superior verbal and written communication skills

·        Strong sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines

·        Strong technical skills on a variety of software platforms

·        Expert experience in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
