Position Overview

The Food and Beverage Server provides food and beverage service throughout the golf club, including in the restaurant and on the beverage cart. The Food and Beverage Server reports to the Beverage Manager. This role requires a flexible schedule, including late evenings and weekends.

Essential Functions

  • Interact with guests in a professional, positive, and friendly manner.
  • Provide prompt food and beverage service, offering knowledgeable recommendations and upselling menu items, wine, cocktails, and specialty beverages.
  • Assist fellow servers with seating, greeting guests, and taking initial drink orders as needed.
  • Prepare guest checks, process payments, complete daily cash handling, inventory, and sales reconciliation in accordance with company policies.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and presentation of dining areas, beverage carts, amenity stations, and other food and beverage outlets.
  • Maintain professional radio communication with golf club staff to deliver exceptional guest experiences in accordance with 59club standards.
  • Represent the golf club with professionalism and pride when interacting with guests, members, team members, and visitors.
  • Operate the beverage cart safely throughout the golf course, providing efficient beverage and snack service while maintaining pace of play.
  • Maintain proper inventory levels, stock presentation, and communicate replenishment needs.
  • Prepare, package, and serve menu items according to club standards at the food truck while maintaining food safety, sanitation, and temperature control requirements.
  • Coordinate with culinary and restaurant teams to ensure product quality and availability.
  • Assist with opening, closing, cleaning, and operational setup of the food trailer and other assigned food and beverage outlets.
  • Deliver personalized service by recognizing member preferences whenever possible and resolving guest concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Ensure compliance with all alcohol service laws, club policies, and standard operating procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license for beverage cart operation.
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • A minimum of 2+ years of food and beverage experience in a high-volume and/or upscale facility
  • Up-to-date health and alcohol cards, as legally required.
  • Ability to operate point-of-sale systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

In addition, the ideal candidate will be or have:

  • Previous experience in banquet service
  • Basic wine, beer, and cocktail knowledge preferred

Physical Demands

Ability to perform moderate physical work, may be required to lift 100 lbs. occasionally, up to 50 lbs. frequently, and up to 20 lbs. constantly, performing such activities as bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, lifting, and grasping for up to five hours without sitting.

Work Environment

This position operates in a restaurant setting. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. The employee may be exposed to hazards including, but are not limited to, cuts, slipping, tripping, falls and burns. Frequent hand washing is required.
