Job description

POSITION SUMMARY

The server is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to guests by taking orders, delivering food and beverages, and ensuring a pleasant dining experience. Provides prompt and courteous food and beverage service to restaurant and/or banquet guests while maximizing sales and guest satisfaction. Ensure that all food and beverage menu items are prepared and presented according to established recipes and standards. Servers must be knowledgeable about the menu, attentive to guest needs, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Applicant will be scheduled starting at 5:30am or 6:30am as needed. Weekend and weekday availability prefered.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Greet guests warmly and ensure a positive first impression.
  • Present menus, provide detailed information about menu items, and answer questions regarding ingredients and dietary restrictions.
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders, including any special requests or modifications.
  • Relay orders to the kitchen and bar staff using the restaurant's point-of-sale (POS) system.
  • Deliver food and beverages promptly while ensuring proper presentation and quality.
  • Regularly check on guests to ensure satisfaction and address any additional needs.
  • Process payments accurately, including handling cash and credit card transactions.
  • Clear tables, reset settings, and maintain a clean and organized dining area.
  • Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service.
  • Adhere to health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
  • Handle guest complaints professionally and escalate issues to the manager when necessary.
  • All other duties as assigned.

  • Must be able to handle a crisis in a calm, effective manner. This includes upset guests, fire, tornado, armed robbery and assault, bomb threats and accidents.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High School education or GED required to accomplish the essential functions of this job; must be computer proficient and familiar with office equipment. Our ideal candidate will have prior experience in a high-end hotel and/or One-year high volume bar experience required. Customer service experience preferred.
