Job description

Server

The Server shall serve food to guests in the restaurant, providing fast, friendly, and courteous service in a team environment, ensuring excellent customer satisfaction, and contributing to the operating success.

Reporting Relationship

The Server shall report directly to the Restaurant General Manager and/or Assistant Restaurant Manager& Server Shift Leader.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Takes beverage and food orders and serves to customer.
  • Computer bills accept different types of payment and make changes in a timely manner.
  • Clears and resets tables.
  • Ensures sufficient inventories are maintained to meet the needs of the food and beverage operation.
  • Must be friendly and courteous at all times, ensuring excellent customer and employee relations and adhere to the established Dress Code.
  • Must maintain a clean, safe work environment before, during and after service, in a team effort to maximize employee efficiency and guest satisfaction.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Take oral and written instructions and the ability to effectively communicate.
  • Must be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Must be able to perform multiple tasks in a friendly/fast manner.
  • Willing to work odd, irregular hours in a restaurant environment that is open seven days/week.
  • Knowledge of inventory software and order processing systems.
  • Must possess a high level of maturity with leadership qualities.
  • Must possess a valid state driver's license or state ID.
  • Must be willing to cross train for all positions as assigned by management.
  • Ability to comply with all other requirements as specified within the CIEDA Personnel Policies and Procedures.
  • Internal Promotion must work as a server for 6 months, complete 90-day probational period and meet basic positional requirements be in a level (1) position in a direct line skill set or transfer to a direct line skill set at a level (1) for 6 months.
  • Must work as a Server (1) 6 months and be certified in all positional requirements, pass interview, & a positional slot is available to move to a Server Shift Leader.
