Safety Manager / Construction (HSE) Health, Safety and Environmental Manager

What you will enjoy doing*
  • You will be responsible to provide HSE Orientation and onboarding training to Contractors in English and Spanish
  • You will be responsible for performing daily safety inspections at the construction site
  • Your responsibility will include monitoring contractor activities and contractor personnel, identify safe and unsafe behaviors and conditions
  • You will bring issues to the notice of the contractor and the site manager and follow up to ensure the gaps are closed on priority
  • Site Safety Inspection will include but not limited to elevated work areas, scaffolds, ladders, gas bottles, welding equipment, electrical cords, power & hand tools, Safety harness and other PPE.
  • You must also participate in morning tool box meetings

What makes you great
  • You should have at least 10 years of construction site experience in an HSE Technician or Supervisor Role
  • You should possess at least a relevant Certification or Diploma in a Construction HSE related subject
  • You must have a OSHA 30 in (Construction) certification
  • A CHST or CHSM or equivalent are preferred
  • You must possess excellent Training Skills, ability to engage participants in interactive training
  • Good communication skill is a required skill in both English and Spanish
  • Willingness and ability to work in the field at least 70% of the time
  • Positive attitude and team work capabilities
