Job description

Our team is seeking an EHS MANAGER in Miami. The main role will be to ensure/provide a safe and healthy environment to contractors by ensuring compliance to EHS rules. The Manager must have experience in railway and/or construction.

The Manager is responsible for minimizing impacts on the Environment, Protect assets and reduce risks of business interruption resulting from fire and natural catastrophes.This is a long-term renewable project.

Title:                   EHS Manager - Miami

Compensation:  Up to $55 per hour

Location:            Miami, Florida

Shifts:                 NIGHT SHIFT -  10:00PM to 6:00 AM  (may require day meetings or training availability)

This EHS Manager will support Project Management in achieving EHS results:

Key responsibilities:

●Prepare EHS Plan for the project including EHS Risk Register and Training Matrix

●Ensure EHS Risk Assessment is done & appropriate measures to control risks are defined for the Project before starting activities

●Implement control of contractor and subcontractor process (Qualification, Onboarding, Site Supervision, Monthly performance)

●Has full authority and must stop any operational activity resulting in immediate high risk to People or Environment

  • Ensure that Accidents/Incidents are first prevented, and when occurring, reported, recorded, investigated, and analysed. Implement a modified work program. Establish and communicate reports in case of severe or potentially severe accidents
  • Prepare and Implement an EHS Training Plan and Program with the support from HR and a local EHS communication plan
  • Monitor in/out time of every member of the team

REQUIREMENTS:

Qualifications & Functional Knowledge:

·      Two to Five years in Environment, Health and Safety (Health & Safety Qualification recognized by the enforcing authorities in the country of operation)

·      Experience in railway and/or construction

·      Good knowledge of ISO14001, OHSAS 18001, ISO45001

·      Deep Knowledge of local legal requirements

·      CHST Certification highly recommended

·       Valid Driver’s License

  • Able to pass a criminal background check, drug test and must be fully vaccinated against the Covid-19 virus
