To excel as a Process Safety Intern, you typically need a background in chemical or mechanical engineering, strong analytical skills, and a foundational understanding of process safety principles. Familiarity with process simulation software (such as Aspen HYSYS), Microsoft Office, and knowledge of safety management systems or OSHA regulations are often required.
